This semi private (2-7 people) guided Game of Thrones location tour will take your around 3 filming locations in and close to Split in Croatia.
You will walk around the 1700 year old Diocletian Palace, right in the centre of the old town of Split. These very streets became Meereen, while the palace's basement and Daenerys' throne room.
After your stint in Meereen, you will hop on an air conditioned transfer and travel to the fantastic mountain village of Klis, around a 20minute drive outside Split.
Here you will find the Klis fortress. Not only will you have an amazing view of Split, the Adriatic Sea, and neighbouring islands, you will also get to explore the fortress with your guide. Several Game of Thrones scenes were filmed here, and your guide will make sure to tell you more about them and take you to the very spots where the action happened.
You will then move onto a 600 year old stone water mill, at the Žovnica River that still mills flour to this day. But more recent history was made here; several Game of Thrones filming locations can be found around the mill and the river.
It is here that you will enjoy a traditional Croatian barbecue (usually composed of veal peka or fish), with homemade bread, from the mill and local wine.
Your guide can drop you off at your accommodation in Split after the tour.
Entry to the different sites is included in the tour price.
